Google Adwords Brings Image Extensions

In PPC, the market is becoming increasingly competitive. To make it more competitive Google keeps on adding new features to the Adwords for the advertisers to reach potential market more effectively. So Google Adwords would now allow Image Extensions.

Of course with the help of images it becomes easier to attract customers. As images speaks by itself. With Image Extensions different colors & designs may also be used. The choice of using photos in Image Extensions depends on individual, it totally depends on you. Beyond the baseline requirements the images should be of be high-resolution, in a 16:9 aspect ratio.

No Analytics: Like any other AdWords Extension, Google does not provide analytics about which part of the ad a user clicked on. It means clicks on images won’t be tracked separately.

Separate Ad Groups for Image Ads: By doing do it would be easier to differentiate Image Extensions Ads.

Raise the Bids for Top positions: As the image extensions will be available on top position so accordingly the bids should be kept.

How to Use Image Extensions?

As Image Extensions are very new, they’re still in beta and open only to a limited number of special account holders. If you’d like to start using Image Extensions, Google has a simple request form to fill up.

Otherwise you have to wait until Google works out on it. There are a few very general guidelines at the moment, which we detailed earlier in the form of high-resolution images and keyword relevancy.

Later On, Google will have a longer and more robust list of guidelines and requirements for images once Image Extensions are released to the AdWords community in full.
